President – Nate Brady
Nate Brady serves as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers and has helped them navigate many pivotal transformations over the past two decades. Presently Nate is an Enterprise Architect for Skyhigh Security and serves on the Executive Board for the (ISC)2 Chicago Chapter. Dr. Brady holds a BS in engineering, an MBA from the University of Kansas, and a Behavioral Economics DBA from the University of Newcastle, Australia as well as industry certifications including the SABSA SCF, CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft ASAE, and AWS-CSA.
Vice President – Kathryn Allen
Kathryn Allen is a cyber/privacy/technology lawyer who helps organizations to diminish their risk exposure with activities such as:
– Assisting corporations with developing strategies for incident preparation and response.
– Performing hands-on tabletop exercises and presentations to help clients understand their strengths and their areas for improvement with incident response.
– Advising on international cyber and data protection compliance programs.
– Aligning company cyber practices with NIST and industry specific frameworks.
– Counseling for cyber and data compliance and risk mitigation in software development, integration, and other emerging technologies.
– Guiding clients through compliance with state privacy laws, along with federal laws such as the NYDFS Part 500, CMMC, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
– Developing forward-looking privacy programs and data governance strategies through data mapping.
– Negotiating data sharing and technology agreements.
Treasurer – Jatin Mannepalli
Jatin Mannepalli, CISSP, CCSP, serves as the Information Security Officer at IMC Trading. With over a decade of expertise in information security, he has established and led robust teams in both information security and risk management. His career also includes consulting roles with prominent firms like McKinsey & Company, CCC Intelligent Solutions and Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Jatin is deeply committed to security governance and risk management, developing technology-driven, customer-centric strategies that drive organizational success and ensure client satisfaction. His comprehensive approach to security emphasizes building a culture that aligns seamlessly with broader business goals. Outside of his professional work, Jatin volunteers to raise security awareness in local communities and actively contributes to the cybersecurity field by helping develop ISC2 certification exams.
Past Secretary – Ross Wasserstrom
Ross Wasserstrom is an experienced Technical Account Manager currently serving at CrowdStrike, where he supports enterprise customers with complex cybersecurity challenges. Prior to joining CrowdStrike, Ross created the Technical Account Management team at Onward Technologies. He holds the CISSP certification and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Northwestern University.
Secretary – John Shelton
John Shelton is a Cybersecurity Analyst and IT Support Professional highly motivated to grow in the Cybersecurity space. He completed the Cybersecurity Bootcamp from the University of Chicago, became CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified and recently accomplished the milestone of receiving his ISC2 CC certification.
Past Membership Chair – John K. Winiger
John K. Winiger is a Solutions Architect and IT Consultant with over 25 years of experience in cloud solutions, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. He specializes in transforming complex technical challenges into actionable strategies for businesses, focusing on cloud migration, security enhancements, and infrastructure modernization. Known for his ability to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs, John is also dedicated to mentoring and empowering teams. With certifications such as CISSP and CCSP, and a passion for continuous learning, he is committed to delivering innovative solutions that drive business success and enhance security.
Membership Chair – Elisa Abedrapo
Elisa Abedrapo is an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional with over 15 years of experience in IT, who loves resolving challenges and getting things done. You’ll often find her exchanging experiences with other professionals in the IAM and Cybersecurity space, while getting inspired to build creative solutions that she then shares with others to enrich them further. She became ISC2 CC certified in Aug 2025 and immediately joined the Chicago chapter, being an active member since then. Her favorite places: anywhere that allows a collective growth with others, such as conferences, community events, open source repositories, podcasts, LinkedIn, etc. She stepped in as the Membership Chair for the ISC2 Chicago Board to contribute with her positive attitude to the expansion of the chapter attracting new members and reactivating existing ones.
